Time to Readjust My Thinking

It’s not too late to begin again.

Now is the time to readjust my thinking.

Hit the reset button because a new day is here! I’ve readjusted quite a few things lately.

I often stated that I could never keep a potted plant, because I didn’t have the time or a green thumb. But then I asked myself— “What if I could keep it alive for at least a week?” (In my past I’ve killed wheatgrass so this would be a feat.)

So, what did I do? I purchased my first lovely poinsettia just in time for the holidays. It wasn’t long before the red leaves shriveled like dried fruit in less than a few days. However, I didn’t give up. I purchased another one that I’ve managed to keep alive for over two weeks now!

I believe we can extract wisdom from the small things in life. Asking the “what if I could” question prompted me to act. This change in my thinking resulted in a small victory but nonetheless worth the lesson. I’ll take it and reapply to bigger challenges in the future. It’s a lesson worth sharing and passing along.
