Nature’s Way of Giving Internal Validation

Spring is Here

I touched leaves on my walk today. Now this is not a woo-woo thing, but I’ve always believed it’s important to be one with nature. The winters are just so long in the Midwest. Surrounding myself with greenery has always been my thing. Stepping outside to touch leaves is freeing. I know that the season is going to change. Spring will not last forever. Winter will come with its own delights. So, I take time in the spring to touch the leaves. The change in season reminds me that no situation or circumstance, good or bad, lasts forever. Therefore, I pivot because where I am is not where I’m going to stay. Because it’s joy eternal. Like a plant that uses soil and sunlight to nourish itself, I get internal validation during springtime. I feel better because being outside is refreshing. Hearing the birds sing in the morning is melody to my heart. This time of year, gives satisfaction from within, which is intrinsically rewarding to me.
